The earth rotates also rotates from West to East (with 1000mph at the equator). What mechanism causes the jet stream to outrun the rotation of the earth?

As a flat earther I was searching for answers as to why it took longer to fly from New York to San Diego than from San Diego to New York. Thank you for the video. It helps explain the flight time differences and strengthens my conviction the earth is flat and the NASA is a lie, and further that we never went to the moon.
