Greetings from the south coast in the UK :). Agree with eye protection. I have a slight burn at the back of my eye and my optician has advised that I wear sunglasses even if it is quite dull as sun rays can sometimes be stronger than you think.

If you want a hat with a brim which won't blow off, take a look at the Australian brand Tilley. These have adjustable straps you can use to keep them from blowing off. I wear them sailing or at the beach and have no problems losing them!
