Heat Transfer - Chapter 5 - Conceptual Overview of Transient Conduction

In this video lecture, we introduce the concept of transient conduction. We show simulations for dynamic heating of plane wall (1-D and transient) systems. We define the thermal diffusivity and discuss its meaning.

Great lecture. One question: What exactly were the boundary conditions for these simulations? We know the initial and final BC. However, neither is wall flux nor the wall temperature known at a given time.
