Having Nathan Fillion back in Destiny as Cayde has me already so excited and looking forward to the future of the Destiny franchise, especially Final Shape. Been missing him for years since forsaken.

I'm glad my wife loves watching The Rookie because of him. I've been a fan of his since Firefly and then Castle. Dudes a great actor and amazing voice actor.

All i saw in the comments for this was how sad people were this was for Cayde and not for Hal in Firefly, however they managed to get him back its awesome and i hope its for a bigger role than some disembodied version of Cayde we interact with for a short time similar to Zavala's wife in Season of the Haunted.

I still remember the live action trailer for d2 where cayde was shown. Was a perfect adaptation oh him with Nathan

He left voice acting in Forsaken because he was working on a show as an actor and executive producer for the hit drama The Rookie that aired in 2018 about a year after his departure in D2. He’s coming back because he was the most lovable voice-actor as Cayde-6. No one can replace Nathan Fillion as Cayde except Nolan North

This is bittersweet to me because whatever form the Destiny show/movie takes
We got Nathan back and thats the best news I've heard in a while BUT Lance won't be a part of it

I get why they killed Cayde in Forsaken but it never sat right with me that for Cayde's last dance he wasn't voiced by Nathan. Full credit to Nolan, not only did he do a great job, but I think he did a pretty good Nathan impression for Cayde as well but if this is the last we see of Cayde, at least we get Nathan back to give our favourite Hunter exo a proper send off with his true voice. That being said I really hope he sticks around post Final Shape. I mean it's been 5 years since Forsaken and us Hunters still don't have a new Vanguard, maybe the reason for that is at some point they decided they would bring Cayde back so why fill it with someone else? Who knows. Either way I'm glad we get him and Cayde back for a while.

Also pretty sure he's still Cayde-6. Exo numbers only change when they reboot not when they die and since Cayde based on that teaser trailer knows who he is and wasn't mind wiped, is probably still his 6th iteration.

I have stopped playing destiny for a number of reasons but I am very excited for any tv adaption of destiny!!! And Nathan Fillon along with Lance Riddick(rip) made destiny so much greater because of their work

Arguably one of the worst things about Bungie vaulting/updating old content and Strikes was removing Cayde's radio chatter from Strikes, as they removed arguably his best line in the game from the Arms Dealer Strike. Hawthorne says "Insecure men tend to surround themselves with others like them" then Ghost replies "Cayde? Anything to add?" in a whimsical, almost prodding, tone. And Cayde says, matter of factly, "Nope, she's totally right. Which is why I work alone." I still laugh.

The rookie is a solid show and was just renewed for a 6th season. He was also a big character in the new guardians of the galaxy movie
