Game: 40€ expansions, 12€ seasons, 20€ dungeon packs, 10€ seasonal event passes, overpriced cash shop which gets consistent updates and increasingly more items per update, gets bought by sony

I'm not married to destiny, but I SO TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THE FEELING that people like Aztecross are feeling right now. I get it and I want destiny to be great too, but from my experience this doesn't end happily. Bungie please prove me wrong and pull this around.

So, we’re getting a price increase soon because it’s costing more money for developing and resources, but developing is hard and they can’t do certain core things anymore because it takes away resources from another. So, what is Bungie/Sony doing with our money again?

Marathon is the new focus and has been for a while we just didn't know it this is the end and we must accept that and walk away

if we are already diggin in the couch cushions for this game we are screwed, I have been digesting this thing and this clip highlights that disconnect. They must believe that they can sell Marathon just as well, and potentially run it cheaper than they can D2. They don't want to over deliver, if they did we might expect them to at least touch the bars they have raised. My expectations are managed, I guess it's easier to engage with data than it is people, ehhh Bungie?! I can relate that why I haven't completed a raid last year. The things that make you game special are literally the hardest to access for me because of my ongoing disfunction: your core playlist and casual pvp have kept me engaged and helped me eventually muster up the courage to raid if only to get a shot the loot other players bring into the playlist. I love how the bar for player achievement has skyrocketed whilst the game dwells in its least inspiring and crummy state. The one thing the devs did wrong this last cycle was make everything too spongy, the business side frankly is a joke (zero respect for suits, you facilitate your own wealth based on the hard work of others, you're leeches).

I might've been there in Destiny since the start of Destiny 1 and tried to believe in Bungie and bought LightFall, but I am 100% sure I am not buying Final Shape since this state of the game dropped. If I want to see how destiny ends I think I will be watching streams but that will be it and I think a lot of people are thinking the same.😊

After releasing a TWID/State Of The Game like bungie just did 😵‍💫Bungie better deliver when it comes to this upcoming Showcase because if they don't i hate to say this but The Final Shape could lure bungie into a Check Mate that there's no getting out of and it could end up being destiny's nail in the coffin.

I am a game artist.
I understand for a lot of companies and personal experiences, budgets do get tight. Software for 1 person across an annual year comes up to 5000 quid. It also does take up a LOT of time and people to make things look as good as they do.
But... 3.6BN profits... I don't know man. You can buy a few dozen contract artists there, and their software. And it would barely scratch the first layer of the surface of those kind of profits

Couldn’t agree more with the last line “ we are your community not your investor” statements like we can’t do this coz it’s expensive or we fear over delivering is just unprofessional after charging people the amount they charge.
