I had a friend find out 16 years after we stopped talking that I was living in a motel room a month away from being homeless after getting divorced. He was outside my door a week later, convinced me he needed help with an emergency so I packed a bag and went with him to anther city to help him. It wasn't until a few years later that I figured out the "emergency was to get me out of my head and my current circumstances". It is not always like this in life but some people out there are different.

This feeling when you start becoming self aware of everything. Is probably the most loneliness and awakening feeling but at what cost

It’s cold out there when you realize you’re alone.

My parent's taught me. If you die & only had 1 true friend, then you did really well. Since you've achieved something, that the majority never will.

Terrible thing to go through. Lost my childhood friend of 18 years and everyone else we hung out with because he was sleeping with my kids mother and all my other friends knew about it. Everyone was keeping it from me. Dropped them all and left State. Started a new life in the country. Met an amazing woman I've been with for 16 years now. Ruined my life when it happened and i still wonder how things would have ended up had i never found out. It's crazy to think that was 20 years ago... I went from being a city boy in the middle of Boston just raising my kids and going to work, hanging out with everyone i grew up with and then boom everything fell apart and i moved. Ended up in the middle of no where in Maine where i knew practically no one. Still don't regret my decision. Miss the old days, but i don't regret it. They didn't deserve my loyalty.

At some point in our lives we realise the
Loyalty we have for others isn’t being given back to us!

Been betrayed and abandoned by my life long friends. Thrown away like I was nothing. Changed my life but I’m glad it all happened.

Makes it easier to be alone when you realize loyalty only meant something to you.

I noticed this about my friends after I stopped giving them free stuff, buying drinks, buying dinner, etc. I didn't do it to buy their friendship, I did it because I valued them as friends and felt they would do the same. They didn't. Been a lonely 10 plus years as I no longer trust people...

Growing up through my teens and twenties, i had more “friends” than i knew what to do with. My father wasn’t exactly a good one and he wasn’t one for good advice either. But, when i was young he said something to me that i never forgot. He said, “John, one day you’ll be able to count true friends on 2 fingers. I always thought he was full of it. Well, i’m 40 now. Turned out he was right about one thing.

As I grew older. People I considered brothers soon stopped calling or wouldn't return phone calls. I suddenly realized I had no bros. Others had bros but I was a man on this planet alone. It was hard to accept for many years. But I just recently decided to stop concerning myself with this issue and accept that I will have to find a way to be happy with just myself. I look forward to finding this peace within myself.

Isolation brings clarity when you accept that your see the world differently. Fight the pressure to fit in or be liked and all need to remember if we're breathing we're winning. we came in alone and we all get our final rest alone.dont break you sanity form expecting the same loyalty and love you give out.that being said hope to all that reads this gets more time to fix or get over any past mistakes we made

There's something about those 90s and early 2000s movies. The way the camera was set up, the way everything looked.. it was all just a vibe

Ive had that done to me many times, i know this all too well. When i was 9, there were kids that pretended to be my friends but never were, they just used me and than act like they never knew me, once i found out, i ignored them. This has kept going on all throughout my childhood to the point of depression. As i got older (just turned 40 on Wednesday) ive became stone hearted, i dont give a shit about making friends anymore, friends come and go and youre only left with disappointment. Some people are fortunate to have childhood friends, if theyre good friends, keep them, dont take them for granted

There's a lot of people.
Most of them are monsters.
Some of them are people.
Few of them are angels.

Don't take it personal.

My moment was back in November 2019 when my mom passed away and nobody was there to show me love and support.
