Every time I see someone use the kickstand when they start a bike I I just think about how the kickstand fell of my bike cause someone did that I had to have my frame welded because of that.

also I will add our did have electric start, but my grandfather made sure we learned how to crank start it before we learned that there was an electric start our was converted to 12 V but he got it originally from a crate band put it together. Our had about 2 miles on it when we first fired it up.

Why the weak-assed kicks for the first thousand or so revolutions of this Engine ? Am I missing something ?

To prove your point, me and my father own a 1923 that we put together out of a crate and my grandfather taught me about all the hazards of starting them and the correct way to start a 23 multi you hold the crank in a fist but outside of your fist if it backfires, it will kick your hand away if you’re holding it normally it might break your arm so yes, I know how to start an old school crank start. You don’t ever hold onto it in your hand. You hold it with a fist and keep it outside the grip so it can’t suck your hand back in if it backfires
