Conservatives call for House committee meeting on alleged terror plot – August 6, 2024

Speaking with reporters on Parliament Hill, Conservative MPs Andrew Scheer and Luc Berthold discuss the recent arrest on terrorism-related charges of Ahmed Eldidi and his adult son Mostafa Eldidi in Richmond Hill, Ont. The RCMP allege the two were in the advanced stages of carrying out an attack in Toronto at the time of arrest.

The Conservatives are calling for an emergency meeting of the House of Commons public safety committee to find out how the elder Eldidi, who is alleged to have taken part in ISIS violence overseas, was able to enter Canada and obtain citizenship.
