✅ About this video:
In today's video we are touring this 2024 Kenworth T680 100th Anniversary Edition. This beast of a truck is covered in "Platinum" paint with the black onyx accents. This SEMI RV hauler is brand new, straight off of the production line and an absolute monster of a truck. This is a one of a kind heavy duty truck. It's amazing driving this HDT around town. The maneuverability is better than my RAM 3500 and the crazy part, the maintenance is LESS than a 3/4 ton dually. Yes, you read that right! If you are looking for an absolute game changer of a truck that provides safety, functionality, and a beautiful curb appeal, look no further! This Kenworth T680 has it all!

A special thanks to Doug and Marilyn for allowing us the honor of touring and filming their rig!

That will pull any camper and then some ! I've been driving Semi for 36 years and the T680 is one of my favorite Tractors to drive..

I have a 2016 T680, when I'm done using for work, my plan is to convert it for Rv. I love my truck and this guy's setup is awesome! Cool video

That's when you know you're living right when you can buy a T680 to pull your freaking camper...outstanding!

Nice rig, great way to pull an RV around the country. A big consideration for the HDT owners is bridge height. 4 wheelers aren't used to thinking about the bridges they drive under. You need to plan your routes with an HDT.

I drive a 2022 T680 a but for work. I would love to use it on a 5th wheel Rv. These things are designed to haul 80k pounds up the steepest grades in the US. There is nowhere he can't go now. All he's gotta worry about is height. He's still gotta feel the road BUT the peterbilts are by far the best riding out there. Lastly, the blinkers can't be self canceling because once the truck has finished turning the trailer just started its turn so the trailer needs to still be signaling.

Need to add an air hose reel. Connect it to the trailer brake connection since you had them remove the trailer air hoses. It’s amazing to be able to air up anything anytime you need to.
He got that right about the truck being in control. With as big as travel trailers are getting they are over sizing the trucks pulling them. Yes you have the pulling power but not enough weight and brake power when compared to the trailer. He won’t have any issues at all controlling what his RV does now as he will have plenty of stopping-over and will also have the added benefit of the engine brake especially while in the mountains.

Thank you for sharing and showing the brand new special addition KW class #8 semi. Very wonderful looking and special features semi. With the Automatic transmission they are putting in these big Rigs. All the stuff you do in CDL school is secondary. In the school you practiced filling out your log sheet a thing and RVer doesn't have to do, sense there is no CDL license you don't spend time in class practice for taking tests. You are never hauling Hazmat material with that being in one part of CDL testing. In the CDL school you spend many hours backing through cones like your backing up to loading docks, you won't do that when pulling an RV. School teaches double clutching, you will never need that with an Automatic transmission.
The only thing you really need is understanding of Airbrakes, and engine and body maintenance and daily walk around.

Extreme Overkill, it’s like towing a bicycle trailer with a F150. I’m an old truck driver so I’m intrigued. Cool Video Thank You 🙏

Pretty truck, and the best engine choice. I'm a long time Heavy Haul/Oversize guy and I run the X15 Performance Series 605hp/2050 torque with an 18 speed manual. Did you order all disc brakes, they're the best. Funny how the rules are from state to state, in New York to drive that tractor you need a CDL/A license and if you take the road test on an automatic it's a CDL/A Restricted, and you also need an air brake endorsement. Just be sure you use a Truck based GPS, and know your overall height, I've seen far too many guys miss signs and go under a low bridge. I'm guessing that RV trailer can't weigh much more that 20, 000-25, 000 pounds, that truck won't even break a sweat. Does the trailer have electric brakes? Just be really carefull when braking in wet conditions, because that tractor will stop a lot shorter than the trailer will, even more so if you're using the Jake. I'd say that's probably a $200, 000 tractor if not more, enjoy it and stay safe!

I had a 2002 Kenworth T2000 that I bought with almost 800, 000 miles on it. It got driven another million miles over 10 years without an engine swap or overhaul. That's pretty unheard of, but shows the longevity that HDT's can have. We currently have a 36' Class A and the driving height, position, and size do very much remind me of driving the HDT. The main negative vs. a pickup is bobtailing and using it for driving around once you arrive at a campsite and disconnect. HDT's are inherently a little "squirrely" when driven without a trailer attached, due to all the extra weight up front that isn't balanced out by the weight of the trailer on the back. They are definitely worth considering as a tow rig if you want a long lasting, low maintenance alternative.

That’s the most beautiful truck. Fancy rv hauler! A lot of parts and dealer around the US.
