The Ultimate Strat Partscaster | DIY Thinline Edition

After putting together my last Tele Thinline I noticed there are almost no thinline Strats. After doing some research I found that they mostly keep the Thinlines for special editions or custom shops guitars ($2-5K). Well I wanted one and in perfect Rusty Fender fashion I made a Partscaster. Found some Custom Shop pickups from Fender (Robert Cray) and a Thinline body finished in nitro. This could be the best guitar I've ever played. Check it out! -CoolandOut-

Partscaster building is such a fun hobby, even though the one I built isn't perfect. It's got a personal and unique vibe. Can't get enough of the tone! I just posted a video with it, hooked up to an obscure seventies Italian tube amp. The clean and drive tones are awesome together.

Love this! I’ve always thought that semi hollow strats are the best way to get Eric Johnson’s 335 and strat tones out of one guitar, especially if you use .047 caps

Sweet guitar!! Maybe a long drill with a small piece of pipe to keep it off the finish would have done those holes better.

I didn't see an earth wire from the pots to the springs. Standard on a Strat.
