Demystifying Acrylic Gel, Paste, and Texture Mediums

In this video, we're gonna get together and learn all about gel, paste, and texture mediums for acrylic. We'll talk about how to get an idea of what a medium does or what it will look like when dry.

Specifically, we're going to talk about gloss gel, gloss heavy gel, matte gel, modeling paste, crackle paste, ceramic stucco, and glass bead.

I love using these mediums. I have used the glass gel medium for snow on a snowman painting I did. I painted white underneath, then spread the glass bead gel over it and it gives it a really sparkly snow look.

That was wonderful, thank you so much. I have had 6 of these golden gels and modeling pastes crackle and pumice for a year from a gift set (lacking directions lol) and have really wanted to use them, yet feared I'd ruin any painting I tested them on bc I hadn't seen them in action. I'm inspired to get to work now. Your lessons are inspired, truly.
