Demystifying Acrylic Fluid Mediums

In this video, we're gonna get together and learn all about fluid mediums for acrylic.

What is gloss medium and varnish for? We'll cover that one.
What is glazing medium? Yep, that one, too!
What is matte medium? Friends, you know I'm gonna show you!
What is Slo-Dri blending medium? We'll touch on that.
What is Flo Aid? That's a big question! We'll go over it!

Thank you so much Jane! This was really helpful for me. I live in a normally damp climate, but in winter, this gas heat has been sucking the moisture out of the air and my paint dries so fast. I had some medium gel stuff that I tried using and it seemed to make it worse. I really appreciate the way you demonstrate carefully how the different types of medium act with acrylic paint vs just with acrylic paint or paint and water. Very helpful! Now I need to rewatch and take notes. lol.

How you doing tonight? I have always been artistic weather in writing decor sewing jewelry making and most lately acrylic pouring but the pouring is not the painting I want to learn. I appreciate abstract impressionism. I had a few courses in college in art history and it just opened my mind to all sorts of possibilities. So I found your Channel about six months ago and I keep looking at your tutorials and I have purchased almost everything needed but I still have not started because I'm a chicken. So tonight I took a leap and I ordered the different mediums glazing medium matte medium gloss medium the pouring thing so I'm going to try and get started, thanks to you. I also watched your film on color theory and plan on watching all of your informative videos before I pick an actual picture to paint. I have no less than a hundred brushes because every time I saw some on sale I'd buy The pack but I have no idea what each one does or what it's called so hopefully you have a tutorial on that if you don't please do one so I can straighten out all those brushes and get rid of the crap I bought and keep the good stuff. Thank you thank you thank you for your time and your invaluable knowledge.

Jane, thank you for your videos. You do such a great job explaining. Unfortunately, I'm a slow learner. I was wondering if adding flow aid into your water is something you'd do for any painting. If it makes the paint flow more easily, it seems to make sense or am I not understanding? Thank you for all your gentle guidance.
