I said from the very beginning that the republicans missed an opportunity to make John Kasich their candidate. He's the only republican candidate worth his salt; he cares about the country and the people in it. Just listen to him when he is being interviewed; he is a class act for sure.

I live in Canada and I'm glad that the government is involved in my healthcare. I'm a senior and all my healthcare is paid for by taxes that the rich pay for. I even have my medications paid for. These medications allow me to live. If I lived in the US I'd be dead a long time ago. I'm amazed that when I go to the hospital for follow-up they are looking for ways to keep me alive longer. I really like the healthcare system here. Because I'm poor I don't pay anything and get great service. Glad I was born here and not in the US.

Nice reference to the NHS at the end. Are there no models around the world that the US can draw elements from. Universal healthcare is cheaper than US healthcare in the UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, etc. Averaging between 9% - 11% of GDP, while the US struggles with it sucking up 17% of GDP, and not producing better results. When a country pulls together to afford a military, a police force, why is healthcare not considered as essential as clean air and water?
