This part of Caesars campaigns is interesting. After watching the videos of Kings and Generals time for your videos about the invasion.
A question bout the video:
There is a dramatic music in the beginning (0:01 - 0:09). What is the title and who made it?

I read somewhere that Caesar's political enemies in Rome mocked him for his campaign in Britannia because the island was so mythical to the Romans that most thought it wasn't a real place lol

Caesar is a type of player who always finish all the side missions

“He (Caesar) became the first Roman to set foot on the island...”

Technically, it was the eagle standard bearer with the massive balls that first set foot in Brit land.

Great video!
I'd argue that even though Romans (and Caesar in particular) where very much able and willing to lie to get reasons for war and conquest, the British probably DID support the people in Gaul. Firstly, Britain isn't far removed from modern day France and there was probably lots of trade and communication. Secondly, prior to Germanic peoples (Franks, Angles, Saxons) taking over both areas and forming the states of England (Angland) and France (Frankia), both countries were inhabited by Celts, meaning that they probably had every reason to be on the side of their related trading partners. Thirdly the fact that they were ready for battle the very moment the Romans reached Britain's shores suggests that they were indeed closely informed about what Caesar was doing in Gaul and were sure that the Romans would antagonize them too.

To be inhabitants of a quasi-mythical land, they managed quite well to communicate in Latin (or the Romans to communicate in whatever language the British spoke). I guess they were accompanied by merchants or whoever that had any little knowledge and experience of the islands. Also, the British were quite well prepared for Caesar's arrival, news travelled fast to the other side of the channel, it seems.

Others, undoubtedly, had invaded the isle. It is the Ancient Romans who gave the Brits as whole an identity.

Brits: Hey mate, sorry 'bout that whole 'tried to kill you' thing. We cool?
Julius: We cool.
*One Night Later*
Brits: Oh, and welcome to British weather.

That opening credit shot made me think that Julius Caesar had Kenny G hair for a moment!

Superb video. High quality of production. Caesar had always fascinated me as a general and as a person. But my main question when's Hannibal? Again great video.
