How to Use an Oscillating Multi Tool (ARTICLE):

An oscillating multi tool is a must-have for any professional contractor or Do-It-Yourselfer, and it is especially useful in tight corners and cutting in areas where a regular saw or reciprocating saw wouldn't be safe or practical to use.

With the right blade, you can achieve many things with your oscillating multi tool in ways that you may not have ever thought of in the past. Note that in order to make precise cuts, it is best to secure the material you're cutting with clamps or a helping hand.

Hay Mon thanks for the tip for cutting nails and screws on back of a board.
I have nails and screws coming out of this head western back board I made with a bunch of stuff on it. I don't want to pull it out side and make a mess cutting it with a grinder.
Thanks again for reminding me to use that very tool.

Great little video with extremely helpful tips. And yes, I am new to the oscillating tool, I’ve only used mine a couple of times.

Nice trick with the nails, with the second blade you supported the tool against the wood with your other hand.

Is that after market blade going to be compatible with any model oscillating tool? Even the cheap ones?

People ruin blades because they put too much pressure on one spot on the blade. Light pressure and move blade side to side.

I'd also recommend ear protection; ear muffs or plugs. 👂🏼

Would this blade be a good choice for removing grout for ceramic tile replacement?

Hey if you use a knife blade type it will cut the sidewall out of tires it works slick and sharpens easily. It also can used with a hook blade to cut carpet

Dry wall screws hit it with your hammer downward and it will snap, if you don’t want nails sticking out but shorter nails? Now cutting nails to something it get it out iv done that plenty I love these tools they are so useful sometimes but a lot of these seem like fixing things you didn’t need to do

Would be useful for nails, but sheetrock screws snap right off if you hit them to the side with a hammer.

We use them at work doing siding on residential property. Cutting rotten wood out and vinyl siding cutting. All the guys I worked with were not the smartest and didn’t know what to call this tool. One morning the boss’s son said let’s call it “Pete” since that day I’ve always called it Pete. Lol.

I have a multitool. I’ve had it for about seven years. I have never used it. Mainly because I don’t know what it’s for
