Peugeot 108 review - First Car

The Peugeot 108 is the latest city car to come from the French manufacturer. Underneath, it's pretty much identical to the Toyota Aygo and the Citroen C1; however, is it a good choice for young drivers?

I have one of these little babies and I love it. In my opinion it's neither 'slow' nor 'noisey'. Acceleration is obviously a bit plodding with that size engine, which means you have to plan ahead when joining motorways or overtaking, but it iis very lightweight so it cruises comfortably at 70mph and the convertible version which I have is not particularly noisy. The only things I don't like about it are that you can't fit a bike rack to the rear because the hatch is all glass, and the transmission is a bit lumpy, ie it can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference between 4 and R (although that could just be my bad driving).

Just took one of these for a test drive and half what this guy is saying i didn't agree with. I didn't find the clutch easy to stall and the dashboard things are all his opinion I thought it looked good. End of the test drive I put a deposit down for it should have it soon.

I too have noticed that you have to rev it a lot to avoid stalling!

This is the worst car I've eveere driven... I rent it for 3 days when I was on holiday in Malta. Absolutly horrible car. The only good thing is the entertainment systhem. The old Trabants are more powerful than this piece of shit, and the fuel consumption was actually 7, 5l/100lm WTF? My 15 years old Lancia Thesis with 185 hp does 11-12l/100km!!!! If I have to coose a city car between thes thing and my wife's 17 years old Mercedes A-class- I'll go for the Benz without blinlking
