Are you tired of all the confusion in the Catholic Church? So was I! For this reason, I decided to intensely study the Catholic Magisterium in order to discern between what people say about the Catholic Church vs. what it actually says and teaches. If you are a confused Catholic, or are discerning becoming a Catholic, Reason & Theology offers you an in-depth examination of the situation in the Catholic Church that will help make sense of the confusion.

Bishop Vincent Gasser's "thousands and thousands of dogmatic judgments", even if an exaggeration, suggest that the usage of Ex Cathedra in history is more common than is often asserted.

What video do you address Exsurge Domine, specially the issue of burning heretics? Also, in a quick way, how would you respond to this? How can Catholics today see this issues of the past?

This was very helpful, but embaressing. As a Protestant who defends Catholics as necessary, I've been using this faux fact to show that ex cathedra is something that is used very rarely.

Do you have a link to your article that gentleman mentions below?

Definitive does not equal ex cathedra. Largely because definitive doesn't even equal definitive, as you would like it to mean.

Jesus never promised Peter that kind of "magic infallibility", which a majority of people seem to believe in! Those who have been decieved in this way, are sadly in danger of falling away from the true Faith, when they face the Truth, disappointed! Veritatis Missio

I am sorry, but my dictionary does not contain this expression, (I know what it means on the surface), so I cannot decide whether this (a little spiteful) remark of yours was meant to be encouraging or devastating! Veritatis Missio

How can we show that secondary objects of infallibility can be taught ex cathedra, and not just primary objects?

“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi, ’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
Matthew 23 says it very clearly without any room for interpretation. We have ONE teacher and that is CHRIST. No human, not the pope. CHRIST.

Roman Catholics: We need an additional infallible authority beyond scripture or else there is total doctrinal chaos!
Also (some) Roman Catholics: Oh, but we never really need to use it 😂

Thank you for being honest about this. Especially bringing up Exsurge Domine, which has of course extremely controversial statements in it.
