Demoting a domain controller with dcpromo used to be all the rage but now it can be done with PowerShell and the Uninstall-ADDSDomainController command. In this video, we'll go over how to demote a domain controller using PowerShell that's online and is not the last domain controller in a domain.

We'll cover demoting it with PowerShell as well as cleaning up any remnants of the AD-Domain-Services Windows feature for good measure.

Prerequisites include:
- An Active Directory domain controller running Windows Server 2012 R2 or later
- RDPed into the domain controller to remove with a user in the Enterprise Admins group
