What you didn't mention is speed. Google is much faster that Duck Duck Go. I switched to DDG because Google was driving me nuts, but I am disappointed in it's functionality. It's clunky and slow. Search results, especially for images, are not only weird, but incomplete. As in bad.

i can't see the "add" marks in google search as shown @7:11 while in duckduckgo i can see them. why?

I assume that my android and computer listen to what I say too? I was chatting to my partner about purchasing a new pair of binoculars a while back....hadn't used a search engine to look for a pair, then a week later, there are ads in my browser for binoculars. Spooky as hell.
