Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing are openly collecting information about you and using it to push targeted advertisements. This clearly destroys any hopes for online privacy and secure safe engines like DuckDuckGo are the only thing that can fix it.

Overall, DuckDuckGo is a privacy-oriented search engine that doesn’t track or log your data and makes no attempt to personalize your experience.
There are clear pros and cons for this service: it’s definitely less comfortable to use than Google, but if your privacy means anything to you - this is a search engine for you.

I'd walk into a shop in town and buy a book for example. With cash. No one knew who I was or tracked/followed me.
Now I buy a book and all the powers that be can find out what book, where & when. And then follow me to my car and track me home.

Duck Duck Go is not real. No matter what you use to search the web it still has still has to confirm to certain standards because those standards are how things like YouTube exist.

Ddg seems to have almost no ads such as the ones that search results on Google has. Google web searches almost always lead to websites that are practically broken due to ads and pop ups. Happy with ddg so far.
