Zwift's recent outside investment announcement tells the new direction of the company. They plan to build and sell hardware solutions for Zwift. Could it be Peloton-like with a $2000 hardware outlay and $50/mo subscription? You can bet outside investors hope so. Why didn't Zwift just opt for a licensing agreement with Xbox or Playstation? Maybe for more investment profits? Maybe because Specialized bikes is an investor and plans to negotiate services to build a dedicated Zwift Peloton-like solution? Another big biz win. We will see if the current Zwift community is the loser in this deal.
