Ah the 5 gallon pump is genius! And to fill up the bowl only as far as the basin can handle! I’ve seen other designs that could lead to disaster, but this seems like it would lead to a manageable mess. I can imagine how exciting was for her and how many refills there were at the beginning. I’ll definitely be trying this when the time comes.

This might sound crazy but I’m thinking of using one of these as a kitchen in my micro camp trailer! It doesn’t have standing headroom and I’m always seated on a tiny stool when I’m not in the bed. I was thrilled to see your water setup, i think this will actually work for me! Thx for sharing

Thank you for this! I always love how you encourage your daughter to be her own person and set her up for successful learning. When my husband and I have our first child I inspire to be as mindful as you.

Do you perhaps have a video on how you did the IKEA kitchen DIY? It's so cute ❤️

Thank you for this video! I just got the same kitchen set up for my daughter a couple of days ago and was looking for an alternative for the jar+spigot because I know my 2.5yo daughter will not let that type of setup last long. I was considering pumps but wasn't sure - seeing your setup helped me figure out how to get this working for us.

Solid bar soap is so much more environmentally sustainable 😁❤️

Thanks for sharing! What color and how did you paint the kitchen? Spray paint?

My husband drilled tiny holes in the ‘drain’ of the sink so the water goes right back into the bowl, it’s a good way to recycle but I do change it out every once in a while

I love this. Definitely gave me some inspiration! We kept my sons kitchen & it was being used outside. I think now that sister is here I might modify it & bring it back inside (:

So cute! We use a little squeeze bottle from the travel section of target for her hand soap and just keep it in the cabinet below. She likes opening the little top thing and it’s small enough to squeeze into her hands. :) I think I’m going to get another one for dish soap and make illustrated labels.

This is great. I love the paint colors you chose. Maybe a little piece of Velcro under a soap dispenser would help to temporarily scaffold her learning and boost confidence? That’s what we are about to try with our 19 month old. Fingers crossed. Thanks for all the inspiring videos :)
