Christmas in the Philippines is in full force so we decided to follow your recommendations and try some Filipino Christmas Foods like the Bibingka. Of course we had to try some other Desserts as well while we were trying some Filipino Desserts like Guinataang Halo Halo, Palitaw... :)

The restaurant we visited was
Cafe Via Mare at Landmark Makati, 2nd Floor (you will find the restaurant next to the shoe department)
Address: Greenbelt 1, Paseo de Roxas, Makati, Metro Manila

(don’t miss out on watching some behind the scenes on Instagram stories :)

The hot chocolate tried might be a filipino chocolate tablet called “tablea” which is made from real cacao. we also use it for champorado or chocolate rice porridge

Thank you for visiting my aunt's restaurant. Via Mare was started by my mom's cousin and her husband more than 60 years ago. Her restaurants are considered high end and very high quality. They have several branches through out the Philippines. Her restaurants were commissioned to provide the meals for all the staffs at the Malacaniang Palace since the 60's which is the equivalent of the White House in the US. My aunt's name is Glenda Rosales (before she got married).

I think you should try making your own mango float! Youll get addicted to it! Its really really simple. Graham crackers, cream, condensed milk(optional), and mango!

Great video, Mike and Nelly, as always! You should also try the bibingka, and puto bumbong from stalls beside catholic churches. It is usually served with hot tea. Enjoy!
