I mean yeah but last time a guy was beating on the starter and it put a whole in it so I'd rather say softly tap on it with a tool but not as hard.

You have to have two people to start it u start the car but the other to knock

So you don't have to do it hard.... and you tap on the back of it.? I believe this is the problem w my truck the battery brand new. GOOD JOB... so u tap ot then start
