Ironically, the reason people love Kai/"just chatting" streamers is the same reason a lot of people love GMM. It feels like a couple friends just having fun. Kai is just browsing the internet, watching funny videos, talking about whatever teenagers talk about now and everyone in chat participates as a community.

i feel like a helpful way to explain the appeal of the “just chatting” category of streaming for rhett would be to compare watching a twitch stream to sitting down and watching an episode of a podcast, except that it’s even more enhanced with chat engagement
