So glad you liked EOS! Look forward to hearing what you think in more detail! To answer the question: the series is currently 6 books, but will--I hope--be stretched to seven so I can give everything the space and attention I'd like to give it.

I NEED to read all of the Dune books by Frank Herbert! In the middle of book 3 and I'm not regretting that decision one bit!

A Master of Djinn was one of my fav reads from last year. It was just such a fun read. I think reading the short stories first really added to the world-building and the characters too. This year I was most excited to read Memory, Sorrow and Thorn because of your videos. I’m halfway through The Dragonbone Chair and I am hooked! Loving it so far.

Just found your channel after I got recommended your live chat with Christian. Like that it just feels relaxed and chatting with a fellow book junkie with your setup. Looking forward to your 2022 content.

I literally screamed when you said Christopher Ruocchio was your number 1! I picked up Empire of Silence after seeing an interview with Ruocchio and IMMEDIATELY fell in love with the series. Flew through all three main books and The Lesser Devil. I hope you love the series! Can’t wait to see your review on the first book!

Your assessment of Sun Eater after you finish it this year will be the final seal of approval and all I need to start it in 2023!

Hi there. That list sounds awesome. I am currently listening to the audio book while I read the kindle book version of A Memory of Light. I got done with listening to book 13 of the Wheel of Time series last Monday, and I just started working on book 14 yesterday. It is awesome. I have also listened to/read the first Empire book in November and December of last year. I am eager to get moving on the last 2 books in that series too. I too am a big fan of life story narratives. Also, I too want to listen to while reading the Sun Eater series and the series by Ken Liu.

Loved this list! Now you’re making me interested in Empire of Silence. I definitely have my eye on Janny Wurts as well. The series I NEED to read this year is the Farseer trilogy. I’m very excited to get to it!

Cannot wait to hear what you think about Name of the Wind. I’ve read both books and am patiently waiting for the third one while reading Malazan!! I’m very psyched up for your stream tomorrow on Toll the Hounds. Thanks Jimmy

I know Name of the Wind is polarizing and of course I have my own issues with it, but when I read it I could not stop! I read all day and all night. I think you'll enjoy it.

Sun Eater!!! I think each book is better than the last, but they’re all very close because I already loved Empire of Silence. The novellas and short stories aren’t necessarily essential, but I think they add to the universe nicely. I’m excited to watch your reviews and see your reactions!

Oh yay!! Ninth Rain is such a great book! (I finished The Bitter Twins in December and loved it!). Adding The Grace of Kings to my TBR! 🌝

I'll definitely be reading Gemmel and Janny Wurts this year. I'm not entirely sure if I'll start with the Wurts/Feist collaboration or if I'll dive into Wars of Light and Shadow first, but I'll end up reading both anyway. The Name of the Wind is definitely worth reading -- there's a lot of beauty to it and great character work in terms of the protagonist. I'm curious to try Ken Liu's books, and I might have to stretch my all fantasy rule for my channel to read some of Ruocchio's books. Looking forward to seeing you and Christian chat, Jimmy!

I'm jumping along for the ride of the Sun Eater. I've been eager to do it for ages. I'll be with you on it, buddy.

Starting Howling Dark in the morning. Haven’t been this pumped to continue a series like this since I finished Last Argument of Kings. EoS was such a strong book 1

I’m on book 8 of The Wheel of Time. I’m going to finish that, then on to The Winnowing Flame Trilogy by Jen Williams and then the Books of Babel by Josiah Bancroft. Then I’m hoping to reread Joe Abercrombie First Law before I tackle The Age of Madness. Can’t wait to hear your reviews of your TBR this year!
