Donating to help families get out is a great thing to do. What's happening is traumatising for people in Gaza, Lebanon and Israel. Israel is being attacked by Hamas, Hezballah, Houtis and directly by Iran. I think a cease fire and hostage deal needs to happen as soon as possible for all of our sakes. But please realise that what is happening here isn't black or white and you may well not have the energy or time to find out enough to understand the whole situation. And it's important to prioritise your own health. Just please, if you are speaking out about it, remember the hostages who were kidnapped on October 7th and have been held for a year. The pressure needs to be for a cease fire and hostage deal now. And for humanising everyone on all sides and having compassion for civilians on all sides. We all need and deserve safety and healing. No children should have to grow up in the shadow of war or terrorism or occupation. We need freedom and safety for all in this land.
