Easy-believism vs multi-conditional salvation

In this video I explain that the term often used 'easy-believism' today to describe a 'false gospel' is actually used by those who would add conditions to faith, such as obedience, repentance of sins, commitment etc.
The difficulty is not in faith, but in conviction, where human pride fights against the reality of being helpless.
Once conviction occurs, faith in the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, is easy, it is a free gift one accepts by faith.

MacArthur is one of the biggest proponents of hard believism-- he even wrote an entire book on that heresy.

Nailed it brother. Just found your channel. I have been free grace for about 2 years. As I am in the ministry, Lordship Salvation (damnation) has engulfed the Baptist churches. I believe around 90 percent of churches have some form of front loading or back loading works into the Gospel. It's getting real bad my friend.

I believe the first video's I saw were Jacksmack77, then Jason Jack, Ralph (Yankee) Arnold, and a few others. I'm grateful for these people who are fighting a massive uphill battle. God bless you!!!

Amen, this is one of the main things I am constantly running into. Without faith they refuse grace through faith and demand some kind of obedience and works. In their minds a person not walking a holy life cannot possibly be saved

They spit on the cross on a daily basis

Paul states whatever that is not done in faith is a SIN..Reformed theology automatically start from a position of a lack of faith in Jesus, therefore they are considered luke warm and Jesus will spit them out...You cannot walk the fence and claim you have accepted the gift of grace, and then out of the same breath preach additionally that you need to submit and obey in order to continue in that salvation (if indeed it is true salvation)...They have twisted the simple gospel to make it a legalistic works based religion of which is not out of a heart of faith, but trying to perfect the sin/flesh nature of man..Which in Galatians paul says cannot happen because the flesh is dead...

How can such a simple thing be so difficult for people to comprehend? I am bewildered  at all of the things men say are necessary to be saved. I can only speak for myself because I don't know another man's heart but for me salvation occurred quickly, unexpectedly and freely. Who can honestly say that they had to wrestle with all of thess issues before they could believe? When I was saved the last thing on my heart or mind was what I would do after I was saved. When I found myself confronted with the fact that I was a sinner unable to deliver myself from the penalty of my sin and  pointed to the Lord Jesus as the only answer to my dilemma the only consideration was would I accept the offer of salvation or continue in my path to hell. All of this stuff is in my view the result of men intellectually attempting to describe that which is beyond our comprehension. How could anyone be saved if all of this nonsense was required? I was incapable of even considering what my life would be after believing in the Lord Jesus because I was so concerned with the glaring fact of what my death would bring. Who made up the checklist, who decided how much is needed to be saved on the part of man? It must have have been someone who is educated above their intelligence because although there may be an intellectual component to salvation it is the heart that must believe God's promise. Paul said that we have a vile body that is controlled by an unregenerate mind, how then can such a creature through the processes of that fallen, wicked mind meet God's standard? It's impossible for man to will himself saved and that is exactly what they are saying must be accomplished to receive eternal life when they put their requirements between man and God. This is either an over-reaction to the shallow gutted gospel preached by men like Zane Hodges or the product of those who have a name that they live and are still dead in their sins. Belief in Christ has been reduced to a religious philosophy by those who hold such extreme views and in doing so they have ignored Paul's warning about be corrupted by it. Those on the side of Hodges and those who like Ryan Hicks  promote a form of godliness while denying the power thereof, we say that men like this suffer from a swollen head and a shrunken heart where I come from. Simply place your faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ and leave the results up to him. Any change for the better in the believer will be the result of salvation not the cause of it.

Amen Brother Ed! The Devil is in the complicated and confusion business. He also makes true believers who are new or not grounded well yet, think that it's futile and that the "old man" is going to forever render the believer of no real use because of his flesh.

“"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:1-14‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Aren't we asked to study to show ourselves approved unto God? Aren't we asked to go therefore and make disciples, teaching them all things and baptizing them unto the Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Aren't we asked to pick up our cross daily? Aren't we to make a 180 degree turn-a-round from sin? Aren't we to confess with our mouth....? There are many more. I'm confused. Some people I've talked to believe that just because they are American that they classify themselves as Christian.

Reformed theology does not teach works are required for salvation. It teaches works are the evidence of salvation.

I am guessing you have not read the book of hebrews or perhaps pauls letters. to think that we still have people in the church that think that one gets saved by just puting some info in the mind or making a simple prayer (sinners prayer) with no repentance or perhaps no obedience to the Lord Christ is not good. I can quote verses from Scripture that would debunk everything you said but wont do it. Usually people with this kind of ideas are not teachable
