It's April fools day, so time to tap into our inner trickster and make a contraption to be the dread of all players who come upon it. In this video we investigate how we can make the most effective area denial weaponry in minecraft, all from a basic idea that, well, doesn't work out the way we expected.

Now I wonder if you could get the arrows from skeletons with power 5 bows or pillagers with piercing crossbows instead, and power this machination even further

should've used projectile protection 4 instead of protection 4 for the final test

Just realized that entities and chunk loading could be a great way to teach particle uncertainty

I really like this style of video. Taking us on the journey instead of showing us the final product. Makes it a bit easier to learn and understand. Good stuff :)

You should name this weapon "The Roaring Dragon" because of the TNT sound it makes when its priming to fire. it will scare any players coming toward it

i like how this went from "funni joke for april fools" to "HOW TO SURVIVE AN APOCALYPSE"

Hey cubicmetre I think the reason for the arrow randomness in your single-shot setup was because the arrow was stopped by a block and then was released again.
When I did it, accelerating a perfectly regulated arrow with TNT while it was in the air produced no error, but when even just dropping a perfectly regulated arrow onto a block and then breaking the block, it produced an error.

I used to make TnT arrow cannons using an older version of this idea all the time. Back in 1.7 java beta. You can use an oldschool tnt cannon design, but just place the arrows into a piston instead of a trapdoor, time the ticks to drop the piston on the tick before the TnT explodes and you get an arrow shotgun

I thought about this before, I'm glad someone else that actually understands redstone thought of it too & built it so I wouldn't have to.

So what you originally intended to make was a rail gun but then it turned into a shotgun... Nice

Could you manually load arrows with a piercing crossbow and will it pierce multiple mobs?

Epic. Perhaps by putting the arrows in lazy loaded chunks, we can store more of them.

I've never found again an off-grid, quasi-unknown player with such redstone skills since Borkon. You do awesome stuff dude, I promptly subbed!

American/Canadian content creators: Sometimes crazy stuff (Nileblue) but pretty random and chill.
British: More serious and a lot of gamers (same with US a lot)
Australians: Absolutely insane
