BMW 7: Parking Assistant real-life test :: [1001cars]

The Parking Assistant in BMW 7 series: for automatically selecting and manoeuvring into spaces that can be either parallel or perpendicular to the road. Suitable parking spots are identified with the help of ultrasonic sensors as the vehicle drives past. During the parking manoeuvre, the system takes care of controlling the accelerator, brakes and steering as well as changing gear. In addition to this, the system can be used for automatically manoeuvring out of parallel parking spaces too.

I have a 2 year old 760i and I have never used this parking option. Will have to go and find out how to use it!
