I can not thank u enough! My daughter's Xbox suddenly didn't see her external storage. After holding the button and restarting, unplugging etc I had no idea what to do! U walked me thru step by step and it suddenly kicked back to life! Plugged it back in to the Xbox and it can see it again (albeit empty but hey!) So she has a fresh hard drive to download evrything again. THANK YOU!!!!

Amazing how easy that was. I needed to try and format my Seagate HD to capture video. I wasted 20 minutes googling it and trying to follow the steps there. Should have come straight to Youtube. You are awesome!! Liked and subbed. Still works in Jan 2022.

Works! If you right click and there is no "New Simple Volume" listed, delete the volume from the top bar or from the right-click option. Afterward the "New Simple Volume" should now be there after right clicking.
