Why not also remove the burden of paper works so that teachers COULD actually teach?

Longer years of schooling doesn't necessarily mean better outcomes. Its the quality of teaching that matters and the curriculum. We need to concentrate on science, technology, engineering and math or STEM because these are the most important things in nation building. Whoever implemented this k12 curriculum that increased the schooling from 10 to 12 years didn't account for the fact that most students come from poor families who can barely afford to send their children through 10 years of elementary and high school, let alone 12 years. The incompetence in our government is astounding. The 12 year elementary and high school program should just be an option for private schools and not mandated for all schools across the country especially public schools where most of our poor kababayans send their kids. The dropout rates are already very high in public schools because of lack of finances to finish school . this k12 program just made it much worse

Why not reduce 8 and half hours of school to 6 hours, students can't retain information if they are forced to study for that long.

Language, math, science and reading is the basic and main core of education. It’s true the that the curriculum should be based on child’s comprehension. This revision is so far…specific and attainable. This presentation is well thought and well researched.

"Both teachers and learners are overburdened with lessons... school tasks and activities." That is the problem there. Teachers and students should just be concerned with lessons ONLY. NOT admin tasks that take away teachers' abilities to focus on the students. Changing the curriculum is at the lower end of our concern. Have it properly executed first before saying that the curriculum is the problem. Hire more people that would help teachers. Pay teachers more. Also, lessen parades and other out of school activities that students have to participate to. Practices for these takes time away from actual learning.

Make grade 11 and 12 a vocational course for those who want to work afterwards. And grd 10, can go directly to college for those who want to go to college. Make it a good curriculum. Not to prolong it.

How to solve educational issues

Normal people: Remove unnecessary burden on teachers and students, increase teacher salary, apply subjects that help with adult life like how to manage money and remove useless ass subjects that will never be used in the first place, and maybe have better educational mediums both irl and online - that's free and decent.

Philippine Educational Department: Change curriculum randomly without any basis whatsoever

Subjects to be taught daily shoud be MATH, ENGLISH and SCIENCE at least should be once a week.LIFESKILLS (Like how to should be 2x aweek. In this way there is balance in learning. Not just Theory and sitting down all the time.

If paperworks are needed by this system, why not assign teaching assistants for it so that the teachers can focus on so called paperworks.

Why now ..after that grade 12 k program had delayed our youth to finish their school. 22 years old still studying. Dont you realized how hard to parents. .to all who approve that 12k program. You are responsible for all the delayed opportunities of those who suffered in that K 12. Whoa . I am so mad .

Parang gumuho yung pangarap ko imagine working student you work hard just to enrolled be able to finish your study pero parang pinagdamot sayo lahat.

I think to those who kept on commenting negative thoughts/comments should learn to understand the process because revising modules, subjects and work loads were tons of preparations to do.

Somehow, like what my Mom shared to us, they have the MWF AND TTHS schedules that helps the students/pupils to carry all their books and other things at schol everyday. Just sharing ✌

Underpaid and overworked teachers are seeking greener pastures. Incompetent students are graduating and are having a hard time securing a job and are also wanting higher pay. Ayusin sana talaga ang education system and ang mga parents ayusin nila pagpapalaki sa mga anak nila.

Mabuti nga english ang medium of instruction namin noong araw at natuto magcomputer kahit papaano. Kaya kahit hindi ako nakatapos ng college may work ako sa call center. Sana nga kung may foreign language rin na subject Chinese or Spanish...

It was good for childrens to learn mother tongue. The problem is, language may be the same but the use may vary based on different places like in Pangasinan in our area the mother tongue is Ilocano instead of Pangasinense the words in the modules for ilocano are also not understood by the parents for it was based on the Ilocano of Ilocos so it was also hard to correct the child since the use of language in their households differ to what is taught at schools. One of the problems is that some teachers are not even from the area so they themselves are not able to teach the language properly. But I myself known the language Ilocano when I was young but as I get older where in schools we are taught tagalog and preferably english I also forgot to speak it I can understand but never speak it fluently and most kids also won't speak the language since mostly we speak tagalog now. I hope they reconsider removing the mother tongue or maybe at least create an opportunity for the students to learn it.

Whats wrong with k12 is that it was branded incorrectly, such as hireable and business ready grads because they're not. However k12 grads are far better in many categories than those graduating from the old educ program (4yh year). K12 grads are more college ready.

On the other side of the coin, deped has to completely revise its entire k12 curriculum, as well as their spiral knowledge theory, they're ridiculously out of sense, a gentle way of saying stupid.
