I love your comment about who might wear the British countryside trend. Living in the British countryside I can confirm that no one local would wear these outfits. They are best worn in cities where they won't frighten the horses. 😂

Love the cozy, drapey sweaters, scarves, and outerwear!

I generally don't follow trends, but it's interesting when I start seeing things I'm naturally drawn to start trending.

The drapy outerwear is definitely my favorite. I have a huge scarf with removable fur collar, it works both like a scarf and like nearly a poncho, I think it’s chic and also very comfortable. With high brown leather boots it also gets the English countryside vibe, which I like.

by the way..thanks for summing up all it really helps to quickly check what we can do to adapt to the trends....sometimes is just 'shopping' in our closets....sometimes 😀

British countryside has my vote. As a lover of Ralph Lauren 1980's and 90's, many of my classic keepers will be right on trend....with a little tweaking!

As a rather matronly older woman none, and I do mean not a single one, of these trends will flatter me so I'll be swerving them all!

I started the men's coat trend last year by accident. I thrifted a long wool coat because I needed one. It happens to be double breasted. If I button it up to the neck and belt it, I look like a Russian officer from the late 1800's. Kidding aside (I don't wear it like that), it was a staple last winter and I expect that it will be moving forward. It's just warm, comfortable, stylish and versatile.

I usually love leather in outfits but the shiny, liquid versions always reminded me of cheap, plastic leather

For me, it's Britisch countryside, belts, and drapey. I already have everything I need in my wardrobe for that. I would say I have been focusing on mindful tucking and belting. It makes a big difference in an outfit.

I live in Toronto and it’s so cold and damp. I have missed big oversized coats, and bought one this year. Knitting a big scarf to wear with it.

I feel like those masculine fits and trends are meant for other bodies that are not mine.
I am more or less petite and have a very femenine shape so I look quite absurd in that kind of clothes. I would welcome a video about how to adapt this trend to different body shapes in a modern way because my personal reference for this style is Annie Hall.

Said that, I liked the drapey coats, the smooth leather and the belts.
Thanks a lot for your insights!!!

I love the British Countryside look with comfy coats and scarves, but since I am living in a warm climate this year, I will probably focus on experimenting with belts on the clothes I already have. You have the best and most useful trend videos by far, Justine!

Merci, Justine! For some reason, YT has been hiding your videos from me, so I'm really glad I saw this. I love fall fashions. The cleverly accessorized menswear trend is probably the one I'd wear most often because it looks cool & wouldn't swallow me up, & I love the smooth, drapey leather one as well. The British countryside is fabulous & screams Bridgerton, & the drapey coats/big scarves look great, but if I wore one, my head would look like a pea. I don't know whether this is the first time you've done it, but highlighting the look you're discussing on each trend board really helps us follow along with your thoughts.

I also want to add that I appreciate that your videos are about styling... I don't want to buy a new wardrobe every season and I feel like you are equally convinced that being trendy and being materialistic are two things that don't have to go together.

Love the British Country side look ..Thanks Justine

I would love it if you could take these trends and recreate an outfit with each trend with clothes that are not from the runway. How would an ordinary person pull off the trend?

I BET this wouldn’t surprise you, it would be the British Countryside style for me 😊 it looks and feels comfortable and realistically wearable! I hope you’re having a nice Autumn season, J!
