I have this D50 III only and it's flat and small enough to carry it around in my laptop bag. I only power it with USB-C from my Macbook since it does both power and signal from a single USB-C cord. I don't use an amp cuz the D50 III is more than enough power for IEMs. It's the best "sit-down at a café and work on a laptop" DAC~

Hi. What a great collection of everything you have in that wonderful basement! I love the way you have it set up. My question is if I need the A50III if I'm not going to use headphones, I just want passive speakers with 2 fosi v3 mono amps and some Sony ss cs5's. Do I need the a50III? I've already seen some reviews and they all have both together. Will I lose any quality if I use only the d50III dac? I would appreciate your help. Regards!

ZEOS I challenge you to make a video of using the dongle dacs as main dac on a pc while hooked up to your favorite headphone amp. I have been doing this with the M15 and the ifi XCan and I think it's amazing. But I would like to know what you think about a setup like this and how and what combinations you would pair together

Hey Z, noob here! Very quick question. I've got Motu m2 (running as DAC) connected by l/r on my Yamaha a-s501 amp and is giving me clicking/popping on playback. I tried everything always the same when changing buffer size sampling and matching sample rate on PC, never ending nightmare! Is Topping D50 iii the solution for my problem and good upgrade (USB connection to PC)? And bonus question, is Topping A50 iii good match for my Audeze LCD-2 Classic?

For some reason about 6 months ago my D50 stopped connecting with my phone through the hibymusic app. sometimes it does work but not for more then 5 minutes. Same issue with a Teac i had years ago with Monkey app. When i try something with a hdd with music on a device and a phone as remote it seems to give up on me at some point. Don't know why. Makes me going back to my cd collection for the third time now and afraid to buy another one again.😔
