Feel like Toyota started thinking, why are we trying so hard?

You forget what is the most important thing in all this: Toyota is replacing all the engines for free. Other manufacturers will just let you take the fall (Like Nissan with their CVT).

People like: new intro, why?
Scotty: because endless moneypit.

Please bring back "Rev Up Your Engines" in the intro.  It's a classic, and it drives my wife nuts...it's Great!!!

I think I understand this new intro's meaning: Car parts often fall/fail but Scotty doesn't.

“I have to to tell you the truth about new Toyotas”

They’re all crap! Buy a ‘94 Celica instead.

You've said to run from just about every car. I'm just going to start riding a bicycle.

Honda: I bet I have an oil dilution problem that makes everything smell like gas.
Toyota: I raise. Leaking coolant and engine oil leading to fire/stalling.
Fiat: I'm all in

Well I work in an auto manufacturing plant and yes they could recall if it where based on the vin number alone but they are most likely checking the serial number on each individual engine, engines are just as common in these factories as the windshield wipers on the assembly line and we don’t match an engine serial number to the cars vin number so to check that out they would have to check all 44k made within that time period those engines could have been used .

I like the revving of the old intro but this one is cute too

Japan... car workers still take pride in their work and thrive with cooperation, unlike other countries it's just a paycheck.

What I’ve noticed recently. After working at both Honda and dodge, the newer 2015 and up dodge challengers are actually really reliable, And are pretty good price wise. After looking at all the new cars made today, a car for less then 20k with under 30k miles and looks good and drives super smooth, dodge needs more rep for that car. And I didn’t want a Dodge Challenger until I drove one for a week and that was through snow and all kinds of testing. And it’s a amazing daily driver. And they don’t break really at all. My dads bought one and hasn’t had any problems with it for 4 years

First comment. Toyota is adopting GM and FCA "quality" standards! Anyway, all car manufacturers have built defective cars including the Japanese brands.

My Mazda 6 was built in Japan in December 2018, the quality difference from my Canadain made Civic is very clear.
