If you are seeing any ads on this video it’s because it has been demonetized but the song My Weary Eyes. The money from the video goes to Rob and Tim who wrote the song. I receive no money from this.

I've been a musician in Montgomery, AL for 35 years.
I have adult onset autoimmune diabetes, multiple Sclerosis, and congestive heart failure.
It is shocking how fast I have gone downhill in a year. I won't be around much longer, I'm afraid. But I would hope that my musician friends would think of me with the kind of fondness that Rick has for Rob.

Rick can teach music theory, he can geek out air-guitar style, he can really tell a story. But best of all, he conjurs up that world of lost bands, real human musicians and the live-scene music listening public that's still around. In his friend Rob, I see any one of those many good musicians and great people that many of us know, that many of us are. An homage to human connection and connecting Get outta the device. Get real, get into the air. Rick Beato lives it.

"What are you talking about? We didn't write these songs." That is gold. Plus the fact they paid you to stop, man thats crazy! Sorry for your loss, Rick. He sounds like he was a great guy and a great talent.

This is how all people should be remembered on their passing, not for their weakness but for the beauty they brought to the world.

Rick, we’ve never met, but I wanted to thank you for trusting us, your audience, with something so incredibly personal. My heart breaks for you my friend. My condolences to you, Rob’s family, and anyone who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing.

This was a moving tribute to your friend. Grief is the proof that we once loved. God Bless Rick

It's never fully dawned on me that Rick is sat in his studio just talking to a lens.

But he has such a deep well of charisma that I feel like we're all in the room with him.

Deeply sorry for your loss Rick. We love you.

Thank you for sharing this, Rick.

I grew up with Rob back in the late 70's, early 80's in College Park. He was my brother's age, three years younger than I. It is so clear that you knew him well because so many of those characteristics were larger than life even in his early years.

As the circle grows, though, you've been enabling me and enriching my life for the last 2-3 years by giving me the ability to articulate what moves me in music. I'm grateful and knowing that we share a bond in Rob's friendship just makes it sweeter. Thank you, again.

I have followed Rick daily for maybe 3 years and it really just dawned on me what a great storyteller he is (on top of all his other talents).

His Voice rang out here in Melbourne, Australia over the gum trees and a beautiful Spring day. Sweet Journey, Superman.

Once again we are reminded of what is the most important thing in life: family and friends.
I'm in my fifties and finally I have realized this simple truth.
Our relationship with the people we love is all that matters.
So: make that call, drop by for a cup of coffee, call in the gang for a reunion, as often as possible.
You never know if you get a chance to meet them ever again.
My condolences to you Rick.

"He paid us to stop playing." One could argue that's a successful gig. All the cash for half the work.

So sorry for the loss of your friend. So glad you've got such great memories.

“We were friends, we played in bands together”. Says it all Rick. My condolences.

The internet is a populated with so much rubbish much of it hurtful, wrong or greed-fueled . Your channel is an oasis of authenticity, passion, expertise and connection. Thank you for introducing us to Rob, their excellent music and for sharing this sad news and some vulnerability in the name of love.

Jesus said, Come to me, all you that are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. God bless you and may you know God's comfort and strength.

"My Weary Eyes" is incredible. The lyrics are wonderful, but the vocals are fantastic. The harmonizing between Rob and Tim is beautiful. They both have outstanding voices.
The story about Rob telling the owner of the club "We didn't write these songs!" is hysterical.
I'm so sorry you lost your friend, but you paid him a great tribute today by playing his music. Now more people can experience it.
It's said people die twice~ the first is when they pass away, and the second and final time is when their name is said for the last time.
Today, you helped ensure Rob lives forever.
Rest in Peace, Rob. 🎤🎶🎶

I’m right around your age and have already said goodbye to a couple of dear friends. The more you have to remember them with (pics, recordings whatever..) the better. Doesn’t begin to fill the giant hole in your soul.. but it helps. So I as a complete stranger offer you my sincere condolences, and an offhand thank you for all you do.

Rob sounds like the men that hold our little communities and society together. Rob's type is the glue that binds our souls to our families; everybody knows a guy like this and they aren't super famous but absolutely vital for our well being. Sorry for your loss, Rick.
