What happened to TubeBuddy?

At one point, Tubebuddy led the pack in the YouTube "productivity" SaaS tool industry. Last week they laid off a significant portion of their staff and are bleeding users. Are we at the end of the road for Tubebuddy, or can they turn things around?

Hey Raffiti!

Thanks for your honest feedback and for highlighting some tough points about our recent changes. The reorganization was necessary to address our shortcomings and return focus on TubeBuddy. We realized we were missing the mark and needed to refocus on serving the Creator.

We've cut additional projects and expanded our TubeBuddy team, which is now bigger than ever, to serve you better, and we are already seeing dividends! For example, recently, we were able to completely revamp our A/B Testing tool to provide additional value that YouTube's tool doesn't have. We have more coming down the pipeline in the next few months, so be on the lookout!

We're excited to return to our roots and build the tools you need. Please keep the feedback and suggestions coming!

Unfortunately this isn't really a story of tubebuddy as much as it's just the same old story for a vast majority of solid/up and coming tools that end up getting purchased by a larger company.

The thing that gave the tool it's magic and the founder behind it leave and they no longer have the funding to continue to grow/expand the tool. Eventually the tool gets wiped, one dev group at a time.

Same song and dance as most companies that go through this unfortunately 🤷
