The apocryphal is the middle portion of the Bible, also known as the Dark Ages. It is a more in-depth look at who specifically was the enemy of Israel and GOD, identifying them unto this very day give it read it will shock surprise and yes offend.

I appreciate your scholarly work

It’s nice to see folks give an objective take on the biblical and Christian development of practices. Regardless of what side you play on

That just doesn't make sense, that the publishers alone would have done such a thing. Those who could afford, would have certainly paid for the Bible, in it's entirety. And surely, they could have sold the Apocrypha separately, as the New Testament is sold separately. But instead, publication was completely halted and vanquished from the memory of all people. That happening, in itself, is an enigma. How did religious people, such as early Americans simply forget? Why would they have gone along with taking scripture out completely? And today, few people know about the Apocrypha, and many of those question the validity of it. The whole scenario sounds like a fabrication, at best.

so if it’s simply because the publishers, why did protestant churches continue to use that version if they never approved of their removal?

I believe it was removed by Martin Luther during the reformation. It is also not included in the Jewish scripture not because of the publisher but because it is considered not canonical.

Other bibles existed without the apocrypha before that. The 1782 Robert Aiken KJV, The first bible printed in the USA (by order of Congress), did not have the apocrypha. Of course, that speaks volumes to what the publishers thought of the apocrypha since it was worth the savings of removing it.

Correction*
The Protestant church already took it out long before the 1611, hence why it has its own section in the middle, and not in the testaments like the DR1610 or other Catholic versions.

It was sort of a political thing to even print it, just so they’d be allowed to make the KJV but they made it clear that it wasn’t inspired multiple times.

As early as 1629 it stopped being printed with it because, what’s the point? It’s not inspired.

Then it became more common over time and to make them cheaper to print, filler content like apocrypha and sometimes even the epistle dedicatory were left out, only printing the verse text, like a pew bible

Yes. True. But the only thing to remember is Protestants consider those non canonical. That’s why they were left in the center indexed separately

As someone who is studying catholicism should I keep reading the King James Bible or no?

Is there any proof of this? Everyone says different things. Thanks

The Hebrew canon, which is the basis for the Old Testament, does not include the Apocryphal books.

The earliest Christian churches, including the Council of Jamnia, rejected the Apocrypha as part of the canon.

None of the writers of the Apocryphal books claimed divine inspiration.

The Apocrypha contains teachings that contradict the teachings of the Bible, such as the idea that almsgiving forgives sins.

The Apocrypha contains historical and geographical errors that are inconsistent with the Biblical record.

The Apocrypha lacks the high spiritual tone and general excellence that are characteristic of the inspired writings of the Bible.

Sorry the Catholic Church is the ones who added the Apocrypha it was later taken out same as the book of Enoch not enough info to be considered inspired by God and some of the books were Basically just thoughts and beliefs of People and if you dive deep into the old text those books were not part of the original Canon

16 And now, the record of the Jews
accounteth for very little of the lives of the
men who were the apostles of Christ during
mortality.
17 But the brother of Jared saw the workings
of those who would bring forth the Bible and
include therein some of the accounts of those
who were with Jesus when he ministered unto
the people.
18 And those who brought forth this work,
or in other words, those who prepared that
which was to be included in the Bible as the
testament of the life of Christ, were rich men
who were proud of their positions of authority
in the church that had been formed among
them at the time that the canon of this
scripture was organized and presented to the
world as the only authority of the works and
life of Christ.
19 And these leaders formed a council to
represent them. And they had records which
were written by the original apostles of Jesus
Christ among them. But these rich leaders were
prideful and knew that their own lives did not
exemplify the lives of the men who had been
chosen by Jesus to be his apostles.
20 And for this reason, they did not include
many of the words of the apostles, nor did they
give a full accounting of their works or their
lives before they became apostles of the Lord.
21 And it shall be revealed in this record of
the coming forth of the Bible and the manner
in which it shall come forth. And I know that
this record hath recently come forth among
those on the other continent where the Jews
reside, for the Lord hath discussed these things
with me when he visited me and gave me a
greater insight into his life and those things
that he would have me include in this record
concerning his life and his ministry.
22 And the purpose of the Lord is to show
unto the elect that he loveth them, and that he
is their brother, and that he is very much like
them in every way, even that he laugheth and
he crieth, and he feeleth pain and sorrow. And
he would that we should know that he was like
unto all of us during the days of his probation,
but that he lived below all men that he might
be a means whereby others might be lifted up

That's why Catholics and Orthodox are getting slandered by the protastants for asking for intercessions from saints unfortunately

Bro you are right, but still UK Bible publishers are Protestants(they are against RC). That still implies Protestants removed them by purpose.
I commend you that those books are part of the bible.
Stop protesting bro
