Charlie was the best part of that show, I stopped watching after he left. I'd totally watch a reboot, but only if Charlie returns.

I’d say a prequel makes sense, watching them growing up showing their life as kids with showing how Evelyn messed them up. Charlie sneaking in girls and Alan struggling talking to girls and even meeting Judith.

I love Charlie Sheen, and he was primarily responsible for the fame for 8 seasons of 2 and a Half Men, IMO. However, I completely understand what Jon Cryer is saying here. Charlie was largely responsible for the show's success, but also for its death.
It is logical that he does not want to work with a guy who is capable of breaking up with the series due to his addictions and personal problems. I wouldn't work with someone so unprofessional either.
