On Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer’s characters were brothers - and close friends in real life during the show’s early seasons. But then the trouble started brewing. After hints like suddenly having issues with joke lines he previously approved, Cryer could tell something was up with Sheen around the time of his 2006 divorce.

Things ultimately deteriorated to the point of no return by 2011. After a series of controversial statements, including criticizing show creator Chuck Lorre, Sheen was officially fired from the show he starred in for 8 seasons. Lawsuits ensued, and friendships ended. Cryer has admitted having mixed feelings towards his former costar now.

In this revealing video, we analyze Cryer’s recent candid interviews about working with Sheen in Two and a Half Men’s heyday versus the chaotic later years. From reminiscing about the “incredible joy” creativity of the early seasons to seeing signs “some trouble was brewing” before Sheen’s firing caused things to go “off the rails” – Cryer opens up on his perspective of this troubled yet successful collaboration.

After charting their path from friends to foes and everywhere in between, Cryer explains why he’d hesitate to work significantly with Sheen again after the bad blood of the past. Yet does this close the door permanently on reboot hopes? What would it take to see TV’s favorite dysfunctional brothers reunited once more? Join us as we dissect Cryer’s true feelings towards his infamous former costar Charlie Sheen.

Jon Cryer speaks respectfully of Sheen, citing Sheen’s dropping out of sobriety as the reason for Sheen’s fall. Cryer didn’t seem bitter which is more than can be said for Sheen.

I’ve watched all episodes of Two and a Half Men. Loved all the episodes, especially ones with Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen. Jon should make amends with Charlie.

I absolutely loved Two and a Half Men when Charlie Sheen was in it. Charlie Sheen is what made the show. When he left it was no good at all anymore. I did love Jake and Berta also.

John Cryer acts like he was the star of the show when in reality anyone could have played the part of a mooch. I also think he was playing his real self.

Jon Cryer is my favorite live action version of Lex Luthor. I'd honestly love to him reprise that role in a big movie. Never watched 2 an half men that was always my dads show lol
