De Boinville the only jockey in the race that didn't acknowledge the winner. Used the excuse that the tape may have caught Jonbons face, De Boinville nudged the horse just before the tapes dropped, the tape never touched the horse. Asked the horse for a long one that even Ruby said the horse wasn't having it.

Great win, perhaps all the knockers of this guy will now shut up. Jonbon never looked comfortable, he has run ok here in the past but i still believe he prefers right handed tracks. Henderson had already made his excuses monday- not happy with him. Why run him then Sir Sweatalot? Nico the bald came out with a lot of bs after the race, I was listening. The tape hit his nose- that old chestnut that he brings out on special occasions. Almighty blunder by Jonbon, looked to me through my binoculars that he was unsighted and the horse in front shortened up. That was a stopping blunder and he was never going to win after that. Meanwhile Marine Nationale was jumping for fun and was always going to be the one to win. A winner two seasons ago at the festival when ridden by the late Michael O’Sullivan, it was a poignant moment when this guy got the business done. Congratulations to the team

Lets be honest the standard of tye jockeys now must be at an all time worst !, there not timing these junos at all.. these last loads of years cant remember as many favs whacking fences or hurdles ... poor quality riders, , and of course the poor horses always get the blame..
