I had used my iPhone as a webcam for almost 2 years. The pros are in the video. Why I stopped: 1) every time needs to setup it on a stand, so some additional efforts. 2) can not use a phone during web session 3) needs to turn off incoming calls, and some times may forget. So if you have additional 300 dollars then you can choose between two best webcams on a market with high image quality and a life will be much easier.

Since the latest OS update, Continuity Camera defaults to using the ultra wide lens. You can only fix this by using Center Stage which limits how you can frame a shot.
