Eric leads Alan away, to his hideout. He has used supplies from the complex, but also his own ingenuity to survive, learning how to cope with the various dinosaurs. He has read Alan's books, and notices that Alan *liked* dinosaurs before he visited Jurassic Park.

I gotta say Eric is definitely the best kid character in the jurassic park franchise because he survived in Isla Sorna for 8 weeks by himself.
Also I'd give credit to Lex for using her computer skills to reboot the system and lock the door while a velociraptor was trying to get in and Kelly for killing a Velociraptor unarmed and by using her gymnastics skills to kill the raptor and saving her dad mean while a bunch of guys with guns get killed easily.
Mean while the kids in Jurassic World are completely useless

Out of all the kid characters in the Jurassic Park series, Eric is hands down the best one.

I love that Rex urine scares smaller animals away but attracts the Spinosaurus to its location. The implication that the Spino is actively seeking out and murdering Tyrannosaurs on the island is kind of chilling.

I always loved when Erik realizes he just saved Dr. Alan Grant. I don't know but this entire scene I just love. And I love when Alan says that "I am astounded you have lasted eight weeks on the island". And when they both talk about Malcolm's book, how Alan gives Erik that smile of how he agrees with him. I have always loved the jurassic park films, I've seen all of them but the 1st one and 3rd one I really enjoy.

Always loved the sudden name drop of Ian Malcolm in the movie, just has you wondering what was he doing at that very moment.

1:30 To be fair, I think a lot of people would lose their enthusiasm for dinosaurs if they were brought to life. It's fun to speculate and theorize and imagine. It's quite different when real-life zoology enters the equation. Zoology takes away the fun in order to produce the facts of how dinosaurs would interact with humans, especially with realization just how much we are prey to them. Can't blame Alan for his jadedness after experiencing something like that because it's very much a human reaction.

I remember the trilogy blowing my mind when I was a kid and the introduction of the Spinosaurus made me love the movies even more

“This is Trex pee?” Eric nods his head. “How’d you get it?” “You don’t wanna know.” Oh my gosh. I laugh every single time I hear it. Good scene between them. He is not big on kids however he comes across the kids he could spend all day with compared to the adults with him on the island. Thanks for uploading. ❤️

“Your parents uhh….invited me along.” it may be a small detail but I love that Alan didn’t tell Eric how his parents REALLY got him to the island 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

A shame a part of this scene was cut. In that cut part, Alan also asked him how he managed to avoid the raptors all this time. There Eric replied that he didn't have to, as the Raptors' territory was further inland and that it was the first time they came this far south. This made Alan think and (according to the script anyway) made him realise the raptors were following them for a reason.

This film had it's flaws, but I liked it. This was a nice little bonding moment.
