👨‍🍳😎🍻🇨🇦… Don’t be afraid to go up the chain of command if the person you are dealing with isn’t providing the services you need… sometimes the squeaky wheel gets oiled!!!

As always some Great Information. Appreciate the shout out as well. Good seeing you at the Tampa RV Show, sorry I was not able to catch up with you and other channels while it was going on.

Beware dealers who will charge you an excessive delivery fee that doesn’t show up on the invoice. They’re basically increasing the price of the RV and pocketing the increase without paying taxes in it.

It is to bad that Airstream will not be at the Hershey show this year... : (

Absolutely true!!! GREAT video!!! Everything u guys have said we have experienced it. We have bought ours from one of those that u mentioned n believe me u are a VIP until u sign papers then it's excuse after excuse after excuse why they don't fix your warranty problems, sometimes not answering your phone calls, text or emails!!! We bought our new RV last November n we are still waiting to be able to use our stove n other warranty issues and here we r almost 9 months later still waiting!!!!. Long story short I have binged on YouTube learning everything possible. Even as a newbie I knew more than some of the sales people. We have had 2 major recalls on our unit none of them have been taken care of yet!! If the service center reviews suck stay away!!! Unfortunately we thought as newbies that a large dealership must be great boy were we wrong!!!! They have been taken care of some issues but it's like pulling teeth!! Unfortunately too late we realized most reviews are 1 star because they can't give them something worse!

Couldn't agree more with everything you've talked about. I also think this Covid has shook everything upside down especially for people who have taken delivery in 2020/2022. I know it has for our purchase of a 2021 Newmar Bay Star 3014 we made sure we bought from a local dealership after hearing all the nightmares from others when they bought from dealerships in other states. Now saying that we chose Newmar mainly for all the raving reviews but I can say we really haven't seen that quality so far in our 3014 ours went from delivery on April 29th spent 2 nights at NIRVC sorta living in it but due to a constant deluge of storms and rain we were 95% of the time stuck inside. When we left the 2nd day it went directly to covered storage due to several problems that could have caused leaks and badly done front cap paint and Sloppy Diamond Shield, only 3 screws holding entry door onto coach all the screws were stripped out, seal cracking all along between the cap and coach, piece of front windshield seal missing, delivered to us with the inner rear tire with only 39lbs pressure, cover for water heater sticking out so far it was flapping in the wind while driving, bedroom slide very out of alignment along with the Rear-end recall which it was under when they delivered to us.
NIRVC finally got it back in on May 27th and it has been there ever since it is now been at Ford for 2 weeks waiting for rear-end recall and another service bulletin for over heating of passenger side plug wires. Talk about Disappointing

Maybe it's just me. :-) My hearing is very poor, and I rely on closed captioning. I started watching this video ("Dishonest RV Dealers"), and the closed captioning did not match the video -- at all. It was in English, but it had nothing to do with RVs. I've never encountered this before on YouTube. Thought you should know. Lou from Georgia.

Wow guys! Thanks for the shout out!
I’ve actually owned 7 RVs in the last 4 years 😩 I currently own 2… a b van and a trailer… I tow the trailer with the b van!
Can’t wait to see you guys in Hershey!

After almost 3 years of research to find the right travel trailer for our family (wife, me and three dogs) I found a Gulf Stream unit that ticked off every one of our requirements. I visited the regional dealer here in Northern California and they refused to negotiate at all on price (and this was just at the beginning of COVID in 2020). After checking in with one of the Gulf Stream owner's groups, I was referred to TONY'S RVs in Bryan, OH. Talked to Tony, emailed him our wish list and he called me back in 15 with a price that was $9, 000 below what our regional dealer quoted - and wouldn't budge on. Dealing with Tony was a dream and his staff is phenomenal - and their Google rating of 4.8 is, like Showalter, unheard of for RV dealers. Tony only sells Gulf Stream units, but if it's a Gulf Stream unit you want, no matter where you are, Tony's RVs is where you want to go. Absolutely first class and client-oriented. He truly wants to be your RV dealer for life. And he deserves that due to his commitment to exceptional service and honesty.

I buy from Florida Outdoors in Martin County, Florida. Every person who works there (including the receptionist) owns an RV. They’re a small, local dealership with no flash but super good customer service. I bring in my own inspector every time I buy and they welcome it. They’re not the cheapest but it’s worth it just for the service AFTER you buy. My A/C went out 4 months after my warranty expired and they replaced it for no charge!! It was in and out in 2 days!! This was during the worst time for getting parts and they had 3 of them in stock, just in case. They’re amazing!!

Yes, another great video. I would only add to be cautious of dealer-recommended inspectors. Some of those inspectors have no idea how to look over an RV or travel trailer. I hired an NRVTA inspector. Best money spent on the deal.

Do you suggest buying 400 miles from your home because the only 2 dealers that sell the brand you want in your state have bad reviews? (400 miles is far when you need repairs)

Another awesome video. I would like to give a shout out to Oak Lake RV in Moose Lake, Minnesota. They are a small family owned facility with an excellent service team and the family that owns the facility truly cares about it’s customers. To start with, we had an older class C that we bought on a whim. Turns out my wife was allergic too it because of mold that we did not know about. We knew we could not use it but we wanted a class C that we could use. We went to the dealership and made them aware of our situation and they took the old Mallard (my wife called it the “Duck”) off our hands and set us up with a used Class C Winnebago. We had it for three years and used it a lot. For three years they serviced it every time we needed something and winterized it also. When it came time for us to transfer they took it back at the same price they sold it to us for.

I had a great purchase experience recently at Cheyenne Camping Center .The sales staff camp & are RVers and have been employed there for years. The PDI was very detailed and long. The unit was camp ready. I spent the night on the property with hook ups and any concerns or questions were addressed the next day. They want you to be comfortable with everything before you leave the property. There were no added dealer fees and no extra add ons. No high pressure in the closing to take any options. I would rate them 10 stars on communication, honesty, best price in the country & customer service.
