Pentel Orenz Nero (automatic lead pencil) vs. plotter

TEST: Pentel Orenz Nero 0.3 mechanical pencil.

Claims: "an automatic lead advanced system extends the lead every time you lift the pencil from the page. Once the pencil is writing, you never have to click the top button again until the lead runs out."

It sounds like perfect mechanical pencil for pen plotter - so tested mine by hand first by filling the whole paper page with scribbling/ shading by hand - it felt like sorcery, since there was almost no lead visible, also haven't noticed any lead extension when lifting the pencil from the paper, but it was still writing smoothly, no catching (metal tip) on paper, no skipping... line was nice, smooth and continuous... nothing irritating happened when drawing in angle by hand...

then I put the pencil into my plotter machine and made two plots, each was 20+ minutes long. First plot (on video) was hardest pressure I could get and second one was about medium pressure, both times I haven't experienced anything bad/ unusual happening, pencil haven't run out of lead, all lines were drawn as they were supposed to be drawn and I'm impressed.

Orenz Nero became my instant favourite, even for hand drawing I like it even better than my UNI kuru toga 0.3 mechanical pencil (haven't tested kuru toga in plotter since it's not automatic lead pencil).

Orenz Nero is slightly heavier, about 16.6g and Kuru Toga is about 15.5 g.

Plotted art was drawn by me in Adobe illustrator first and then transferred into plotter's own software. (Plotter machine is discontinued for years and it's super unpredictable and super super unreliable, same with their software... always was like that and there is no way how to fix it... (apart from maybe rebuilding it to something else? //which I can't do//) plus basically non existing customer service for Europe (even when it was new)... had so many issues and troubles with this since the beginning... so I wouldn't recommend this machine to anyone (that's why I won't name the brand). If you are on the hunt for nice plotter, this is not it, do your own research and get something better, there are already very nice plotters on the market... This one is such pain in the butt to work with, I highly recommend you to get something else) :)
