Donald Trump has survived another assassination attempt, after he was rushed to safety on Sunday following what the FBI termed an apparent assassination attempt at his golf course in Florida.

Asked what he made of this being a potential second attempt on his life, he said: “Well there’s a lot of rhetoric going on, a lot of people think that the Democrats when they talk about ‘a threat to democracy’ and all of this, and it seems that both of these people were radical lefts.”

So how has this happened again? Does it mean anything new for the race? How is it fuelling conspiracy in the background? Americano host and deputy editor of The Spectator Freddy Gray is joined by The Spectator’s economics editor, Kate Andrews.

What a stupid comment. This is like saying you can't yell fire in a theatre that's ON FIRE.

If you want the left to stop calling him Hitler tell him to stop talking like Hitler. It’s a very simple premise. If you acting like a human being, we would treat you like a human being

You have your little book of horror, so did The Austrian painter but people following him anyways I will not follow project 2025 nor will I follow comrade trump. I’m an American. I don’t do dictators.
