Wow this wouldnt make the CIA an insular agency that doesnt feel connected to the greater populace. They totally wouldn't be conditioned to commit horrible things.

If only JFK had been able to scatter it to the wind.

wow so they have to seclude they're whole lives because of this job, and think outside that building is a risk, justifiably, but that doesn't seem like a great idea when you are in an intelligence agency

Perfect now they don’t have to associate with the plebs who they lord over. This should end well.

I wouldn't even talk to this guy. Liars gonna lie, about everything, to everyone.

You know that weird guy at work/school that no one talks to and when someone does he's all awkward and a social pariah? Isolation doesn't help you blend in. It makes you stranger, an outcast and what we use to call a nerd. Now imagine that's your CIA agent.

This circle came out of nowhere and is on all the podcasts all the sudden.

I dated a cia gal back in the 70’s. I was in the army overseas. We never talked about her job and I never asked any questions.

It's not really that strange when you think about it that they kind of get stuck in a echo chamber and then live on their own set of rules.

That sounds like a nightmare! I’m not sure if this guys been told that human couples need space to create variation, which in turn develops trust in their relationships. Maybe he’s so used to portraying misinformation that he doesn’t know when he’s lying to himself 🤔

I would struggle with this because when I am working I wouldn't want my partner there! You have to be careful with sharing a personal life and a professional one!

That actually makes a whole lot of sense.

Spending every second of the working day in the same building as your partner, doing the same job, working for the same company. Yeah, no thanks.

He is telling half truths here. CIA agents do not have great backgrounds. They are agents because their parents were agents, and their parents were agents because their grandparents were agents. There is no skill involved. In fact, if your parents are agents and you don’t want to be an agent when you turn 16, you have to flee to Cuba or China, or fake your own death. That is the only way out.

Agents are really slaves of the system. They don’t lack money, but they lack nearly everything else.

What this guy is doing in this video is basically advertising the CIA. He is basically saying “if you are willing to be a lying scumbag, you can have a pretty good life”.

A life without truth is no life. And, once an agent, always an agent. An agent quitting the agency is as believable as Santa Claus being real.

Most people in television are agents. Best example is Anderson Cooper.
