I remember a story where a new villain joined the Rogues, and not only did they find out that he was already violating rule 2 by selling "meds", but when they discovered that he also liked kids in _that_ way, ooh boy, it wasn't pretty. It was pretty much that scene from JoJo where they're all ganging up to kick that guy.

There is an additional rule you forgot: No taking the name of another rogue if that rogue is still alive. Doesnt matter if they are retired, you cant use it if they are still alive. These legends even respect identity theft

Reminds me of the Flash tie-in to Identity Crisis. Heatwave was a suspect in the murder of Sue Dibney. Cold made a phone call to Wally West and said "Flash, it wasn't us." and that was good enough for Wally.

The Rogues have broken their unwritten rule twice. The first time they were manipulated by Inertia into killing Bart Allen, aka Impule. And the second time was when they killed Inertia as revenge for being manipulated. They even left a note for the Flash saying they were now even.

This is why if I had to live in anywhere in the DCU, I'd pick Central City. The villains there at least have common sense.

The Flash has the most underrated villains of all time. I would legitimately put them on the level of Batman and Spider-Man's villains. The Rogues specifically are so interesting. What other group of villains has a truce with their enemy for Christmas?

Remember how in Forever Evil, Rogues stepped up as Central City protectors against Crime Syndicate and Gorilla Grodd? Good stuff.

central city villains: "best not to do any murdering. especially other heroes."
gotham villains: "why? you scared of them?"
central city villains: "have you seen what some of the heroes do while holding back on killing. we would be nothing but a smear on the ground if they decided to kill."
gotham villains: *pause*
joker: "isn't that the point on doing it?"
both group of villains then glare at the joker.

Cold is smart enough to know that if a speedster wanted you dead, you'd never even know, you'd just be dead. So don't piss them off

The Rogues are incredibly powerful, but their rules, and the fact they regularly face someone who time travels by accident, make people see them as a joke.

There was a suicide squad story where boomer and was fighting a foreign governments speedster and the guy was given him grief for always being beaten by the flash. At that moment, a boomerang thrown pages earlier hits the speedster off a cliff to their death. To which Boomerang quipped “yeah mate, but you’re no Flash…”
