How fast should the disc stack rotate when unit is powered on? Mine moves extremely slowly and essentially the water evaporation is very little to none after a day or two of use. The fan works fine. But unit does not humidify hardly at all in a 110 sq ft room with approx.. 8' ceilings and the door closed from the rest of the house. If this is really a working unit it is useless as a humidifier.

Hi, could you clarify around the 'spread'? Does thismoisture just spread very thinly around the room?

I have 2 priorities

a) The humidifier needs to give plenty of moisture to my breathing passages, as it is pivotal to my sleep.

For contrast, ultrasonic humidifiers produce a mist that is visibly very relatively localized - which I keep roughly pointed at me when I sleep. This satisfies a) well, whilst not satisfying b) very well.


b) The cleaning should be simple / device should be very safe (Which Venta is)

Ive been using Venta airwashers for over 30 yrs. The most important thing is to NOT use any kind of bacteriostatic treatments in this! ONLY use what is made by the company, if you really want to use anything at all. Trust me.. I ruined 1 machine adding this stuff.

I have one in my music studio, it said a it’s suppose to automatically turn off when it runs out of water. But I’m not sure. I’m worried about it starting a fire. Do you know if it has a auto shut off feature?
