Turbo Hydra Matic 400 - How it Works

From 1978, this is a technical presentation on the operation and repair of the Turbo 400 transmission, which AMC was borrowing from GM. Meant for display in the shop, this is not a promotional video. It gives diagrams, theory of operation, and troubleshooting techniques for the Turbo 400. This transmission is still in production today, more than forty years later, and is still quite popular in the drag racing community, because of its toughness of build and classic simplicity.

The Sentinel 16 was a combination 8-track cartridge player and automated filmstrip projector, used in the mid-1970's. The cartridges, which contained both the film and the audio tape, were distributed to AMC dealers around the nation. Our exclusive restoration process, constructed by Craig Patterson, shows you the machine display exactly as it was originally meant to be seen. Colors have been restored as closely as possible, though the filmstrips were of questionable quality, and have severely degraded over time.

So is that what th400 stands for? I find these very interesting personally, I've never owned but one AMC myself, and it was never road worthy, but a lot of these same parts concepts and systems are used by other manufacturers, Thanks for uploading them for everyone to enjoy!
